The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a Federal Agency with a mission to administer the Medicare program and collaborate with State Governments to manage Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). CMS also oversees health insurance portability standards, quality standards in long-term care facilities, and the administration of HealthCare.gov.
